CURE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

HOW TO CURE? (MAKE PERMANENT)

There are two types of curing methods that can be used, air drying and baking.​

OPTION #1 Air Dry Method *Recommended  (IF PAINTING PLASTIC DRINKWARE PLEASE USE THIS METHOD ONLY!) Place your glass or drinkware on the shelf or out for display to Air dry the project for a total of 21 days before use. 

OPTION #2: Bake Method
DO NOT USE THSI METHOD FOR PLASTIC OR METAL DRINKWARE!

Allow the painted item to dry for 1 hour to be sure all layers of paint have dried. Place project in a cool oven (glass will break when under drastic changes in temperature please put glasses in over before turning the oven on DO NOT PRE-HEAT, DO NOT PLACE GLASS IN HOT OVEN. Glass must heat gradually with the oven to avoid breakage. Set oven temperature to 350. Once the temperature has reached 350, start timing for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, turn the oven off. DO NOT PLACE GLASS IN HOT OVEN. LET GLASS COMPLETELY COOL WHILE IN OVEN! Do not use for 72 hours.

 Care Instructions!

Painted glassware & drinkware can be safely washed by hand and are top-shelf dishwasher safe. without chipping, cracking or fading. If you have a high-power dishwasher HAND WASH ONLY. Do not soak in water.​

Can I wash painted glassware after it is cured via baking or 21-day air dry? Yes, painted glassware can be safely washed by hand and are top-shelf dishwasher safe without chipping, cracking or fading.

 

Do not soak in water. Though the best way to preserve and extend the longevity of your art is to hand wash only.

 

Can you wash cured items in the dishwasher? Yes, as long as they are only placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher. If you have a high-power dishwasher please hand wash only.

 

Is painted glassware microwaveable? No, it is best that painted items do not come in direct or non-direct contact with food or liquids when heating in a microwave.
